Can´t make call to contacts from the "Dial window"

I´ve been using MPE since before anyone ever heard of the word smartphone. I´ve always been able to call contacts by typing some letters in the small "Dial window". MPE has given me suggestions of contacts with thoose letters. So I´ve just hade to mark the contact I want to call and pressed enter. All of a sudden this has stopped to work on most of my contacts. I start to type a name that I know is in my contacts, but MPE doesn´t give me any suggestions. Not on all my contacts, but most of them, any suggestions?

Well, something must have changed. The MPE does not have any self-destrucing features in it.
You gotta tell us a little bit more. Did you do any updates (PC or phone) for example?

I ' ve had some troubles with my contacts, two contacts or more of the same person or the same number several times on one contact so I've been doing some cleaning. But since I noticed this I've been very careful with the cleaning and testing afterwards and unfortunately I can't find any pattern. If we turn this thing around, what triggers contacts in the dial window, what is it that make them appear when you start to type?

I´m not sure if I understand what you´re saying here.
But one thing should be clear. Every number may only be once in your contacts. If you have a single number in two different contacts, that might confuse not only us but the MPE as well.

I´ll try to explain a little bit better...

By the way I think MPE was updated on my phone the other week actually, but not om my computer.

A have a contact with the lastname Tellus, no firstname. This contact has the number 8177 with the "label" work. I can´t dial this contact by just typing t-e-l-l-u-s, MPE doesn´t find the contact. I´ve tried to add a number with more digits with the label mobilephone, but that doesn´t help. This name is, Tellus, is not on änymore of my contacts, nor is the number 81777, yet I can´t dial it from the dial window.

Another person has his name on three contacts, one of them has the same mobilenumber several times on the same contact. I can call him from the Call window. When I start to type his name, there´s so many hits with his name and number in the scrolllist so I can´t count them.
