Importing contacts from Outlook sometimes produces numbers beginning with a plus sign (+), I can't seem to figure out why. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Outlook international numbers
Thanks!
That makes a lot of sense, and also explains why some numbers received the + and others did not. I edited my phonebook.dat file to automate the entry of all the country codes, and then re-synced with Outlook. Now there are no more annoying + signs (which cause call failures)!
I would suggest a preference as an enhancement that would control international number interpretation. The ability to turn this off would help me interface directly with the entries in my companies global address list (GAL). Right now, I have to keep off-line contacts so I won't be able to take advantage of automatically updated contact information through the GAL. Hopefully this is an enhancement with a low level of effort.
Thank you for this [already] wonderful software!!
