I believe I finally figured out what my difficulties have been with syncing my android phone (Motorola MAXX HD) with Outlook 2010.
My goal has always been to have MY PC OUTLOOK the PRIMARY (controlling) database. Occasionally I get find duplicate appointments and also occasionally realize records have been deleted no apparent reason.
My synch method is "BOTH" to allow me to double check all records that are being added/deleted. I previously preferred to the "Outlook" option. I seem to have a parameter to only keep phone records for 1 month back and 3 months forward (don't remember where this is set).
I NEVER (rarely) want to delete records in Outlook to allow me to maintain a history file..
My phone has 2 calendars...
Phone (one I use actively)
Google email association (required by phone to have a Gmail account association which I don't want to use) e.g. xxx@gmail.com because that one occasionally sync's with Internet (don't want this because of my issue with losing records) and wanting my PC (not Internet) to own my records.
It seems that when a record is read/edit in Outlook it is associated with Gmail which is the default email recipient and don't receive mail into other "Accounts".
MY issue seems to be primarily an issue reoccurring dates (e.g., Birthdays) although may account for a few other issues although I don't believe this is always true.
[There is a possibility that occasionally with new phone or for other reasons I sometimes synch phone with the network's Gmail account.]
I've set my phone to only view Phone calendar and check once in a while to make sure there aren't any records in there by mistake (just default ones).
I believe when Outlook records are written to the phone they may sometimes be placing them in the Gmail phone data set and not the Phone data set.
My most recent Sync showed 2 records for a birthday... one being "phil.devinsky@gmail.com" the other "Phone" because of 2 different time parameters. I did this a while back to help with troubleshooting and avoid an issue I had with Outlook default start time being 12am and the default reminder causes the Phone to alert me while Im asleep.
IT WOULD BE HELPFUL if when you bring up the screen to compare records if you could add a field to understand which calendar PHONE records come from as well as which Accounts OUTLOOK records originate from (for those with multiple Outlook Accounts).
Further when record is ADDed in Outlook (the controlling database) the history of ownership should be changed to match Outlook if not done now.
I hope this makes sense as its still a bit confusing to me.

In general I've been modifying my behaviors to make this product work.
With regard to the Internet set I don't really use it because of the difficulties sync'ing in the past and want my Outlook data set to be in control. What I do occasionally is write out my Outlook Contact (comma deliminated) set and manually upload into Gmail in case it accidentally does a sync.
Thank you for your time, I've used your product for several years and have donated to your cause in the past.
The outlook email accounts have in general nothing to do with the calendar.
Zitat:
I believe when Outlook records are written to the phone they may sometimes be placing them in the Gmail phone data set and not the Phone data set.
Switch the calendar view in MyPhoneExplorer to "List" so you can see easily in which calendars the new events were written so you can verify this issue.

It might be easier to discuss Calendar entries.
When viewed in list all entries are noted as 'Phone Calendar'.
The Calendar allows for displaying data from:
-- Phone Calendar
-- my gmail account
-- Holidays in United States
-- Birthdays
In a perfect world I only want to see calendar data from Outlook (forced sync) or really would love it if Outlook could easily sync with gmail.
So looking at my calendar inside MyPhoneExplorer I have multiple Birthdates in on case 4. I would love to delete 3 if I knew which one came from Outlook.
Clearly all these are reoccurring appointments. Yet all the dates are current.
I believe google is causing the problem (Facebook too if I used app).
I hope this helps to explain why determining where the record came from would be helpful. Clearly if I'm pushing Outlook data to Phone it should be reflecting source as such
