Performed a clean up of all contacts from various sources (phone, Outlook, etc.) and created a single contacts file (csv format) that was then imported back into my erased/emptied Outlook contacts folder. Worked just fine but did have to use the DOS csv format for the import to complete correctly.
Next:
* wiped all contacts from the phone,
* forced Outlook contacts to phone.
Worked great but now when I try to sync changes MPE throws up the following; "No contacts on phone!" and prompts to transfer contacts from program to phone. I fear this would create massive duplication and lose any changes made to the contacts on the phone in the month that has passed since the clean up.
Suggestions?
No contacts on phone!
- Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
- WiFi
- 1.8.6 as of original posting and now 1.8.6 Debug Update
- 8.1 Pro x64
- CyanogenMod 10.2
Same "No contacts on Phone!" popup when attempting Sync.
Sync settings for Contacts are:
Outlook 2007,
Sync contacts from phone account,
Personal folders/Contacts,
Use Outlook add-in,
Sync both,
Show confirmation
While verifying and typing these settings I also hit the Reset Sync History button in the Sync dialog box. Guess what? Next Sync appeared to work as expected with only a few contacts appearing in the confirmation window. Looked good except for the ~300 duplicate contacts that now appear on the phone. Sigh...

CyagenMod has no local contact account. You have to select your Google-Account for sync or you install "MyLocalAccount" from Play Store. This is the main reason for your duplicates.

CM Mod 10.2 on Samsung Galaxy S II phone.
After installing mylocalaccount from the Play store it appears under Settings -> Manage Apps but nowhere else. In the MPE phone client under the Contact-accounts to sync option, mylocalaccount option does not appear in the sync list. Only Phone, Google, and LinkedIn accounts.
What should I be seeing related to mylocalaccount and where should I be seeing it?
Attempts to sync with the PC MPE result in the same "No contacts on phone" message.

Wiped phone's contact storage.
Forced Outlook to Phone - copied good.
Reset Contacts settings to Sync-both.
Re-sync - No contacts on phone again.

I believe you need to run the app to create a local account, not just install the app. Personally I just sync to my 'google account' but turn of sync first.tocguy hat geschrieben: ...
