birthdays moved 1 hour ahead - problem with DST?

Recently I figured out that birthdays in the appointment list moved one hour ahead (their reminders too) and stopped to be "All day events". Noticed this in MPE 1.5.9 on WinXP SP2 as well as Win2K SP4. The events in the phone (W810i) stay the same, i.e. "All day events" with no time shifts, sync changes nothing.

I changed the phone time to daylight saving time so maybe that's the key. Also, I created a birthday after the change to DST, and it displays ok in MPE.

Is it a common problem and can it be fixed?


PS - a couple of wishes:
- It appears there's no way to display/sync notes in MPE but possible to create ones. So will it be possible to add an option when creating a note to display it on the phone's standby screen?
- I miss an option to set a "Call" type for a task when creating one and choose a number to call.

If the time-shift is not appearing when you add a new entry from MPE to your phone then its a phone related bug (never change the DST-Setting in the phone - makes to much problems)

I have just come here to see about notes support- is it going to be possible in the future? It would be really useful for me (with my k800i), and I should think many others. Out of curiosity, what is it that makes notes support difficult?

Hi there, I am having this similar problem. I recently went away to another time zone and changed my time zone in my phone. While I was away, it changed to daylight saving, so I adjusted the setting in my phone to account for the hours change.
But when I next synched my phone in MPE (v1.6.6 at the time) it created double entries for ALL of my calendar events. Including birthdays which now span 2 days (they go 1 hour into the next day)
I have tried changing back the DST setting and then synching again, but all the duplicate entries are still there. Is there a way to resolve this? do you have plans to fix the problems with DST?

Its not possible to fix this cause its raised fromn the phone.

I'm sorry to bring this back up again, but it's getting silly now.
Every time I synch my phone, it creates another entry for every birthday I have in my phone...
There is now 105 for each one!
Is there at least a way to delete them all without having to click on each individually? because as you can see at 2300 hours, they are all tiny entries and each time you click delete on 1, the time collumn resets back to the top, so you have to scroll down before you can delete the next one!

The basic questions are:
- are there really 105 items on one day in the phone ? To find this out press "Download entire"
- and if yes, why there are so many duplicates ?

Anyway you can switch the view to List so you can use multiselect to delete items.

first of all - again great soft! congrats!

i have both smilar problems (duplicate entries and time shifts, phone W810i). it creates duplicates when i sync on 2 PCs
on the 1st with MS outlook, and on 2nd internally in MyPhoneExplorer

i use list view to delete multiple entries, as mentioned,
but I would wish to have an option in menu to find duplicates
or possibility to set a master source of data in multiple PCs sync... or alike.

Te upcoming update includes some bugfixes related to this topic. If the update is avaiable then its important tha you load once on both PC's the fresh organizer from phone (second Button in Toolbar -> download entire...)
