Hello,
I sync from Outlook 2003 to Android 4.4.4 on MotoG.
Force Outlook -> phone.
1) There are always missing contacts on my phone! This was also true when using MyPhoneExplorer on my earlier Android phone.
I read the FAQ "I want to sync my outlook/thunderbird contacts, but a lot of them are missing. What did I do wrong?" but disabling this exception made no difference.
I can't identify anything unusual about the contacts which are dropped, and it changes from time to time (so whenever I most need someone's address, I find it is missing from my phone!).
2) Every time I sync Contacts, even if I sync it 5 times in a row, it *still* says it's updating several names. Given nothing has changed, it's not possible that on a second or third sync that MyPhoneExplorer should still be updating entries.
I love this program and find it very helpful, except having random contacts go missing can be really frustrating.
NOTE: it might be the case that it's also missing random Calendar entries. I sync my Calendar but don't rely on it so much, therefore I haven't noticed whether or not this is a problem.
Thank you if you have any advice or solutions! |

You don't have the 'sync only contacts with phone numbers' set do you?
You haven't got a sync with Google as well on the phone by any chance? |

No (this was what my reference to the FAQ was about); and
No (this would be more likely to create duplicate entries than missing entries).
Any other ideas?
Thanks |

OK. I also sync Outlook (2010) with Android and never see missing contacts as long as all the options for mpe and contact visibility are correct.
For example, is MPE set to sync all Outlook contact folders you're interested in? (I ask as I have several contact folders with differing 'types' of contacts in each). Is your contacts app (phone) set to display ALL groups/contacts? |

I only have one folder of Outlook contacts which is what I sync, and Android is set to display all contacts. |

Please run MPE in debug-mode (START->Run-myphoneexplorer debug->OK), then do a sync and post the logfile. You can send me the logfile also via email with a link to this thread. |
