I think I learned something the hard way...
I connected my phone with MPE 1.8.6 and tried to find Memos to view them on / copy them to my computer. I couldn't find Memo on the sidebar, so I looked in Files. It wasn't there either, but there was Applications. I clicked Applications and found Memos. I clicked Memos ... and nothing happened. At least nothing that I could see.
I Disconnected my phone and went to Memos on the phone to copy them manually to my computer (i.e., type them in) AND THEY WERE ALL GONE!
Q: is there any way to restore the Memos on my phone?
Q: any idea why they were erased?! Any chance there could be a WARNING given before completing whatever command was executed to delete the Memos?
A bit miffed... |

Found the file Memo.db at /data/data/com.sec.android.app.memo/databases using Root Browser. Copied it to my computer using Android Commander. Opened it with Notepad and found mostly code, BUT--thankfully!--my Memos interspersed.
Maybe this will help someone recover theirs in the future... |

MyPhoneExplorer does not support the app "Memo", only the MPE-own app "MPE Notes". And i am sure MyPhoneExplorer did NOT delete your Memo-Data because he has no permissions to delete data from other apps. |

FJ hat Folgendes geschrieben: | And i am sure MyPhoneExplorer did NOT delete your Memo-Data because he has no permissions to delete data from other apps. | Thanks for the reply, FJ. You're technically correct to say that MPE did not 'delete' my Memo Data, because I was able to find it. However, when I open Memo, all my previous memos are gone and I am presented with a new, blank Memo page... (they used to appear stacked up on the screen until I clicked one to view it or New to start a new one). So by all appearances, and practically speaking, MPE did something with my Memos. But again, thankfully, it didn't delete them.
Just for fun, why not try double xxx the Memo application that you navigate to with MPE and see what happens? I'd recommend doing a backup first.
I think I'll begin to use MPE Notes, since it is supported by MPE.
Respectfully... |

OK, then in other words: MyPhoneExplorer has no permissions to delete/modify/add any data from other Apps. So even if MPE would want to edit them - its not possible. |
