Possibly, this a newbie-type request, but before I get into details about MPE usage, I feel the need for something more 'basic' -- in other words, when MPE was designed (and updated), what 'model of usage' did you have in mind? E.g., what is the relationship expected between one (or more?) computer(s) running Windows and one (or several?) cell-phones, running Sony-Ericsson and/or Android OSs, in terms of data: Which should be used to manage which, to sync with which, etc.?

I know I may not be making myself clear... I'm quite used to computers, and have used a cell-phone for some time, but mostly as a phone/camera (ie, to talk via cell networks, send a few SMS, and take pictures). Using Mobile master (which you're probably familiar with), I did manage to import files and make backups of other phone data, but didn't see how I could make changes to contacts on the PC and import them back, etc. Now with a Samsung Galaxy with Android 2.3, I have a hard time deciding what I should try to import/export from where to where, how I should plan to use the PC and phones for many purposes, etc. -- and I haven't found anything which would help me in that, including on your site.

Do you have or know any site or text which would be useful for that?

In terms of MPE, I have managed to get both phones recognized, enough to make full backups; but deciding on managing the data (what, where, when) seemed to need a 'previous step', which is what I've tried to describe above. can you help me in this?

BTW, I see that there are many more threads on the Forum than the ones in the 'English section' but, since my German is close to zero, I can't begin looking at them; perhaps there are already texts there which might be useful for this, but they're inaccessible to me... Sad

- MyPhoneExplorer is able to sync several phones, all data are kept seperate, its not directly possible to sync one device with another
- MyPhoneExplorer doe ssync to its own managing GUI so you can edit your adat on PC. When you sync then MPE reads edited data from the phone and updates changes which you did on the PC GUI to the phone
- if you wish then you can enable also the sync f.e. to Outlook. Throught this brigde you can sync several phones with the same data

Hi, FJ! Thanks for taking the time and trouble of replying (I hope my donation shows that I already appreciate MPE, even though I've just started using it).

Your reply made it clear that MPE doesn't sync different phones directly, but gave the idea of using a program like Outlook (or, in my case, SeaMonkey) as a sort of 'sync central', using its GUI, which should work.

However, as I wrote:

So, I suppose you can't help me in that respect; maybe some other forum member will suggest something!
