Hi!
Just a thought.
In the Calendar view would it be possible to have the scroll bar automatically scroll to the current time (or an hour before) in on the side time panel when looking at "today"? Otherwise you will always see 12 midnight to 10am.

hi. At first thanks for your prog , i'm using it everyday and it saves my life.
I have read it's not possible to directly synchronize contact's photos.
I just noticed that sending contacts with photos via bluetooth on my pc in vcard format just added a piece of base64 code in it.
PHOTO;ENCODING=BASE64;TYPE=JPEG:/......
I was just wondering if it is possible to use this code to add a photo field on the pc.
Maybe am i wrong, but why not asking

You are right, there exists a field for this in the vCard-Format. In the T610-series this tag was also transfered to PC but in all newer phones i have never seen this Tag.

EDIT: Sorry - i took a look at my K800i. It seems that the Picture-Tag is now transfered. I'll take a look at it what i can do.

I tested it out now. Result: Its possible to read out the picture, but its not possible to set it

i just opened a vcard file with notepad without photo on my pc, put a piece of base64 code ( a photo i converted) and send it to my phone via MPE explorer extension and the photo was then on the phone.
is it possible to work that way, i mean work with vcard?

I said it above. If i try to put phone-data to the vCard on direct sync i get a server-error from the phone. So: Reading works, writing not

Update:
It is possible to set the photo also in sync-mode (it was a logical failure from me). But there is still one big problem: If i try to download the whole phonebook, then the PHOTO-Tag is missing.

Well, then you have to do it the hard way: Offer a sync-with-photo button that will first fetch the complete phonebook and then each entry individually with the photo. You can also add some intelligent sync-logic that only fetches photos when the entry has changed...

BTW: The set-mode works for every phonemodel (including K700, K750, W800)

an open window to choose a photo, and a command line to crop it to 200x200 for example, convert to base64 with another command line and add to a contact)
i found a base64 command line converter if you need . And thanks for listening

ps: another big thing would be: make a thunderbird extension to deal with this to finish the synchronization loop phone<->thunderbird<->pda
but as i said before.....( sorry i never stop )

@tompouce: You think in the wrong dimensions. If this feature is ready, you'll be able to open a picture from the contact-edit-dialog. Rezising and base64-encoding will be handled automatically inside MyPhoneExplorer.
