I'd just like to say thank you to FJ for the 1.8.6 version of MPE. I think it's great that you keep up the good work.
I don't have much money now, but small donation sent.
Cheers!

YES THANK YOU!
I am joining Dommedagsprofet to congratulate F. J. Wechselberger for the outstanding job on MPE.
Version 1.8.6 is fine, indeed.
However
1/ Regarding Virtual screen
- it only works through USB
- mouse display (on phone) turns off virtual screen (on pc)
- some frame-related errors occur when clickg buttons inside applications
But maybe some of these issues are by design...
2/ Regarding Bluetooth
- not working with Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (latest 9.x win64 version).
It takes hours to connect, then refuses to reconnect/keep conection.
So I had to switch to Microsoft BT Stack, which works perfectly with MPE.
Vielen dank nochmal!
[EDIT] Actually Microsoft BT Stack misses Audio, so one cannot use a headset or receiver anymore! The fix consists in getting directly the driver from Widcomm/Broadband (the manufacturer of the BT adapter).
Available freely (really freely
) from http://www.station-drivers.com/, more precicely here

Screen transfer via WiFi would require root, i will not add any features which require root
- mouse display (on phone) turns off virtual screen (on pc)
Its by design. When you have the mouse on the phone then you will not need the live view. Due the high data transfer of live view the movment of the cursor was not smooth if its done at the same time as a screen refresh

I understand the arguments.
Now, perhaps you might consider turning these features into options, by default disabled, for those users with a rooted phone and/or a fast connection.
