Deleting SMS only from computer

How can you delete SMS from the MPE database, but leave them on your phone? When you press delete and it prompts you to confirm if you want to delete them off the phone, I think if you say "no" then it should take the logic of... okay, you do want to delete, but you don't want to delete from the phone.. got it..

So, my opinion, is it should display a dialog that asks if you want to delete this message, and provide a checkbox that may be selected by default, but can be deselected, "Also delete from phone?" .. or something to that effect.

... or, when the phone isn't 'connected', I should be able to delete a SMS without it insisting I connect my phone and delete it from there...

Or... am I missing something and this is already currently possible?

This is a seldom wished feature because it makes basicly no sense. If you don't want to see the messages in myPhoneExplorer then delete the file SMS.dat in the profile folder of your phone: %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\<model and imei>\SMS.dat

I just don't want necessarily everything saved for potentially others to see. That will accomplish my goal simply enough. Thanks. Now if it wouldn't be much work, and you just had some spare time you felt like wasting, I would love to see the feature to give you these couple extra options... delete from phone only.. delete from computer only.. the overall option to choose not to save sms's to the computer, or perhaps wipe them upon exit every time. I get your point though, I'm the one-off, and others aren't needing the sme features. I can address mine in the one-off scenarios just fine. I could just make a script for launching MPE, but first, to delete the sms file, and then open it.
