Outlook categories - name or colour?

"The standard calendar database of Android (which is used from MPE and also the most calendar apps) does NOT support categories at all. But since Android 4.1 its possible to set a color for every appointment so MPE does sync the category color to the phone."

So as I use MPE to sync two Outlook accounts (two user profiles, identical contacts across both)...
Eg: Fred Jones (Work category - set as red in profile 1)
Must be set in profile 2 as Fred Jones (any category as this will be ignored - but colour MUST be red)?

Are we talking at this topic about calendar or contacts ?
For contacts MyPhoneExplorer does match only Category names to the groups-field (in opposite to calendar where only the color can be set)
