Hi there.
First of all, I'll have to say, that I LOVE this application, and I am using it on a daily basis.
Just got a new company phone - HTC Desire 610 - replacing my old Sony Xperia phone.
And upgraded MyPhoneExplorer to 1.8.6 at the same time.
With my old phone, when I wrote an SMS message, that was larger than the text limit of a single SMS, the phone just sent and stored the message as one message.
But now - after the new phone and/or the upgrade of MyPhoneExplorer - the message is sent correctly, but in the phone, it's shown as multiple separate messages, that has been sent. And in MyPhoneExplorer - the PC version - it only shows the last segment of the sent message, until I do a "Download All". Then the other segments are shown, but not necessarily in the right order. Eg. Segment 1, then segment 3 and finally segment 2.
Any others having same issue ? |

It´s an Android Issue and MPE can´t do anything about it. |

You could set MPE Client as Standard-SMS-App before sending a long message, but this is unpractical if you send often long messages |

Yes I am having the same problem. I don't buy that it's an 'Android' issue. When using my phone on it's own, it can send and receive multiple/combined texts. When hooked up to MPE, it splits them up! That's not Android doing it. After using MPE texting and then using my phone, it was splitting texts on it's own. I even called my Service Provide and they reset my phone. Long texts were now 1 again but still split with MPE. |

The link shows a completely different location! I am frustrated with Android for displaying different images between devices. This is obviously a tablet version on Android. I'm on a Galaxy S5 with 4.4.2... the 'Default messaging app' setting can be found in Settings>Network Connections>More Networks> Default messaging app !
Thanks for the info pointing me in the right direction! |

There is also a hidden tweak in MPE which will force MPE to request MPE Client as Standard-SMS-App when you send a multiple message:
- Start->Run->%appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\general.ini->OK
-> add a new line below [Main]: RequestWritePermissionOnSendMultipleSMS=1
- save the file |

You should. Try setting MPE as the default SMS app and try again. You'll see. Then send another long SMS with your stock SMS app. You'll see again. |
