I'm running version 1.8.6 on Windows 7, syncing Outlook 2010 contacts with a Samsung Galaxy S3. After upgrade, any contacts that are attached to one or more Outlook groups are not being added to the phone. Approximately 400 of 1000 contacts will never be added to the phone.
I have tried deleting all records from MPE and the phone several times but still have the same problem.
Do I need to uninstall MPE on both PC and phone to fix this?
Outlook Contacts with Groups not syncing with phone
Umm. Not sure what you're asking as you need the app on the phone and the client on the PC to be able to sync in the first place.
Added: ooops! Sorry, thought you said 'install' not 'uninstall' ....
Have you ticked the box that says 'only include contacts with phone numbers' or something like that?
I'll repeat here what I said in another post as I also sync with Outlook;
"If I was in your situation with the sync problems you're having I would first ensure that the PC really is up to date as the "master" (mine always is). Then I would delete all contact storage on my phone (in the Apps menu). Within MPE (on the PC) I would hit the big blue arrow (Download Entire) - this zeros the MPE contacts. I would then re-sync, probably forcing Outlook -> phone."

Dave - Thanks for your reply. I have already done what you suggested several times. After hours spent troubleshooting this problem, I do know that the only contact records that are not moving from the pc to the phone are those which are assigned to one or more groups (categories) in Outlook. I do not remember having this problem in prior MPE versions.
I have now uninstalled 1.8.6 and reinstalled 1.8.5 to determine whether or not this problem goes away. I'll post my results as soon as I have them.

Reverting to the last version 1.8.5 changes nothing. Deleted MPE .pf files in C:\Windows\PreFetch and then reinstalled version 1.8.6. Starting with no contacts in phone, forcing Outlook to phone sync results in all 1053 contacts displaying in MPE-pc but only 641 contacts are sent to the phone; the contacts that display in MPE-pc but do not move to the phone have an exception icon next to them in the MPE listing. All of these contacts belong to one or more groups (categories) in Outlook.
Is there any way to force Outlook exception contacts to move to the phone?

No, all contacts are displayed on the phone. And I have now verified what the problem is caused by. In another post, I discovered that MPE has no method of handling Outlook contacts that are assigned to one or more Outlook categories. FJ himself suggested that DejaOffice would be able to resolve my problem. So, I have installed DejaOffice on the phone and the CompanionLink software on the pc. And synchronization works perfectly. So my problem is solved but it means I may not be using MPE much in the future.
