UPGRADING TO WIN7

I successfully upgraded my XP machine to Win7. Since all MPE files should be contained in the Windows.old folder, I simply started over and backed up MPE to my now Win7 machine. Then I discovered my MPE Tasks, and MPE Notes contents were empty on both the phone and my new backup in Win7. I am sure they are contained in the Windows.old folder. Any idea how I could retrieve the contents and place them back into my phone and into my MPE Win7 backup?

I'm also concerned about Kit-Kat, the Android version on my phone. Does this Android version interfere with MPE?

Actually, the saved information would (I THINK) have been in the "C:/Documents and Settings" directory. I'm honestly not sure what happens to the old directory when you upgrade from XP to Win7, but pretty sure it doesn't end up inside "windows.old".

Perhaps someone else can enlighten you as to how to recover your old notes & tasks after a system upgrade.

As to your concern about KitKat & MPE/Win7, no problems that I'm aware. I'm running MPE on a Win7 box (actually on 3 separate boxes, all with Win7 on 'em), and my phone is currently running 4.4.2 (which is a subset of KitKat I think)...with no problems.

Whatever was in"C:/Documents and Settings" after the upgrade is preserved in windows.old.

The standard datapath of MyPhoneExplorer is %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer
So on XP it should be: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\MyPhoneExplorer

Copy the entire folder to the new location and all data will be there.
