MPE crashes on PC

I have been using it for many years.

Two weeks ago, I changed Service Providers.

Now, MPE just crashes and closes itself when I try to connect.

I have just downloaded 1.85 and re-installed it, no good.

Yes, the phone is in disk mode and usb debugging

Help please

This sounds like a install issue.
When you get the crash, always after the connection wa setablished or already at launch ?

During the connection or just after.

If I just press sync on contacts - it connects and fails
If I press connect - it fails.

Sometimes it connects, then I press sync - it fails.

Very starnge. Does it work if you connect to your phone with the portable version of MPE (run the setup again and choose "Portable Version")

I tried the portable.

If I run the portable first and connect the phone, it just disappears.

If I connect the phone first and then run the portable version, it starts up. As soon as I press the sync button, I get the same error I posted earlier.

Please post the content of the logfile after you were able to connect and MPE crashed on sync.

This log was posted after a regular exit of MyPhoneExplorer. You said MyPhoneExplorer just disappeared - it crashed. So i have to get your logfile directly after the crash (see the instructions in my last post)

Actually it wasn't, because it has failed every time for the last two months.

However, good news. When there was a delay in response from you, I had uninstalled MPE. I wanted to give you a good log to work with, so I installed it again. And now, it works. I had done this before, with no success.

The difference is that I did a clean uninstall - I manually removed all folders and registry entries for MPE. I suspect the files in AppData may have been corrupted.

A very uncommon place for the crash. Do you have installed "Zemana Antilogger" ? If yes, disable this software for a test.

Last week, I have upgraded (not fresh install) to windows 8.1 from windows 7.

Maybe this is why its working.

I have reinstalled 1.85. Is this the way to remove the debug ?
