WI-FI to connection does not work (Nexus 4)

When I try to use WI-FI to connect to the Nexus 4 from MPE on my PC I have 2 options:
1) Fixed IP address - I am going through a wireless router. The PC is connected to the router and the phone is connected to the same router. I use the IP address (given to the phone by the router) but the connection is forcefully aborted or cannot be established.
Sometimes it asks for a pin-code to the phone but since I am connected through a router with a fixed IP address and not using WPS or NFC - I do not have a pin-code. When I try to use a WPS code that I get from the phone it still fails to connect.
2) When I use the WIFI option it always asks for PIN (though I am connected through a router) but still when I get a WPS PIN on the phone, it fails to connect.

I made sure MPE is allowed through the firewall for both Public and local network.
So how can I connect via WiFi ?

You did set up the WiFi PIN for the connection yourself, just open MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone to show the correct WiFi PIN.
For a better WiFi discovery take care that the screen of the phone is active when you try to connect. Some phones set the WiFi module in sleep mode when the screen is off.

I will soon try your suggestion and see how it solves my problem.
I must say again, MPE is a very useful, convenient, flexible and reliable product. I like it and recommends it. I have 2 more issues:

1) It seems like the MPE on the PC is generating many tasks after some time it is working on the computer. It seems to multiply itself on the side bar (OBJECT DOC). I see many Icons of it - like there are many copies of it that work. Sometimes it blocks the system after a while. It goes away few minutes after I close the MPE program.

2) MPE Blue tooth on my PC does not find the COM-Port and does not work. I used NOKIA-Suite before and I had no problem with the Blue tooth, so it must be some configuration issue.

3) I am using Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit version - latest updates. For side bar I am using OBJECT DOC and for the Desktop ordering I am using Fences.

Just tried to reproduce your issue with Object-Dock -> and it worked for me without any problem. Besides this i think that ObjectDock has to make their software with other Windows conform software, its their job.

But anyway, please post some screenshots - maybe it helps me to reproduce the issue.

Bluetooth: Nokia PC Suite ? Sorry, you cannot compare the situation with Nokia.
- launch MPE client on the phone
- make a new pairing between your phone and the PC
- ensure that the Bluetooth-Service "MyPhoneExplorer" is listed in the hosted Bluetooth services of the phone - there you'll find the assigned COM-Port. Its in the properties page of the Bluetooth-device on the PC
