I'm using Ubuntu Linux 10.10 and Wine1.3.15.
The icons on the toolbar do not work when MPE is installed on Wine.

This problem was previously resolved by installing wine1.0.1 (which of course now is depreciated a great deal). With wine1.3.15

Good luck, its the beta version of Wine that caused all the problems with MPE,
hope it works for you!

Isssue resolved:

I uninstalled Wine, then deleted the residual contents of .wine manually after the uninstall.

Thereafter I reinstalled Wine 1.0.1 - I could upgrade to the current beta version of Wine but have no reason to as everything is running fine. Also - I didnt need to register the MPE DLL ...

I had been using MPE 1.7.x with absolutely no problem while I was using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Kola under Wine. However I have recently upgraded to 10.04 Lucid Lynx and the Icons on the MPE toolbar are no longer "pressable".
