I would like to use an Address Book application that has a synchronization with Outlook; my goal is to use MPE as a bridge to sync phone with Outlook. The tricky part is that I don't have Outlook installed, I only have the pst file containing the address book.

I wanted to know how I could...cheat ...

FJ, very quickly just to better clarify two points:

1) You get me wrong: you say "Also high-enders such as W960i, P1i, C905 are very well supported". Absolutely !!! And MPE supports them better than anything else !!!

2) In the next future UIQ phones will disappear, not replaced by other UIQ models ...

I see your point. What is REALLY scaring me is your sentence "To make this compatible with all phones is a endless task."

Nevertheless I confirm that I see a tough choice for MPE: either it will change something to support also high-end devices or it will become a niche product for "only" a ...

It is almost possible to map folders in a UIQ phone with several address books in Thunderbird (I believe everything applies also for groups but I haven't tested it).

Could you please clarify how MPE acts in point 6) ?

In UIO mobiles it's possible to group contacts either through folders or groups; in Thunderbird with different address books.

If we use synchronization I understand that MPE doesn't keep/ take track of any of them: it synchronizes ALL the contacts on the phone with ONE address book.

Another bug ! Thanks for informing me. I wonder if the other competitor OSs (Windows, Symbian S60, Palm, Blackberry) are as buggy as UIQ3 is !

It's possible to have many address books in Thinderbird; it's possible to organize contacts in a UIQ phone in many folders. So far MPE lets you choose which TB address book to synchronize but it's not possible to mirror in MPE and synchronize a folders/address books organization.

I noticed (and I can reproduce) that I can delete in MPE Inbox SMSs stored in SIM. If I check they actually disappear also from the phone (M600i) but when I switch it off and on they appear again !!!
