Please recall my msg about CRASHING. I mentioned that i renamed my sms.dat to smsarchive.dat to keep MPE stable and then restored backup of my original smsarchive file. Now the archiving is exteremely fast although the number of msgs have increased in the archive!

That didn't work.

But I remember seeing a smsarchive.dat file that was now missing. So I copied the same sms.dat file as smsarchive.dat and it crashing has stopped.

I will now try to restore back-up.

I had installed 1.6.5 patch yesterday. Everythin was nice. nice ping sms!
All of a sudden today, my archive is empty. I tried syncing... no use. I tried to restore backup (Lucky me! I had taken a back up just a few days ago) and MPE crashed.
I restarted and it would open and close on its ...

I just wanted to re-emphasise that this 'MOVE' msgbox:

1. appears only when you opt for right click in the inbox window and choose a subfolder to archive. Archiving to main folder is no problem at all.

2. appears before the normal pop-up window having the 'Never show this again' checkbox.

@FJ: I also notice that when we right click 'move to archive' -> 'any subfolder' an additional msgbox askin to confirm 'move' pops up. This confirmation anyway happens after the copying to archive and is consitent with the regular 'direct move' option.

about 15 secs for archiving one message from inbox. (the number of messages doesn'y make much difference!)
About 22Secs for loading MPE with 'connect on startup' enabled.
About 16Secs for loading MPE without 'connect on startup' enabled.
Im using MPE1.6.4

Why does MPE try to access internet everytime it is opened? Is it for country search? I work with limited download internet connection. I dont want softwares accessing net and downloading updates. Please confirm.
