If you can get synchronisation between Google Tasks and Outlook filtered on category then you will have filled a huge gap for syncing tasks to Android phones.

I see what you mean - at present the category field in Outlook is only used as a filter for reading messages in - MPE isn't tasked with actually writing the fields back to Outlook.

Since the Sony phones don't support categories, it would be nice to be able to assign categories to tasks, etc when syncing them into Outlook from the phone.

Actually - I just realised that a nice feature would be if when doing a sync it asked which Sync jobs to run (as I have sync set to run as soon as I connect my phone). That would help.

From my reading of the interface, true synchronisation is not possible in MyPhoneExplorer. Neither mode for File Sync looks at the last updated time - Save Folder creates new versions of any file, wheras Reflect folder overwrites whatever is in the target folder.

Synching my calendars is the main reason I use this. Great for combining my personal GCalendar and Outlook calendar on my phone so I can see what is going on in my future! If only the phone could tell the difference between calendars - I don't want to synch all my GCal into my work calendar!
