I just Bought a Sony Xperia 1V running Android 14.
I am setting it up with MPE to restore the settings of the apps I used in my previous phone.
A lot of the backup files need to be copied to /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/"Application Name"/ but MPE can't read it I am not even sure MPE can ...

The phone still sees the local contacts but the MPE phone app and the MPE Desktop app don't see the contacts.

I guess MPE doesn't really support local contact for Android 6
