Before I got it installed properly, I attempted to manually extract the files from the installer, which failed.
But during that I set Win 98 compatibility mode on MyPhoneExplorer.exe.
In some ways vista must remember that setting. Because even after I deleted and reinstalled ...

I followed the tip here to disable DEP.

After I done that, MPE installed OK.

But now when I start MPE only the splash screen and system tray icon appears. When I move the mouse over the tray icon it disappears.
There is also no MPE process in task manager.

Hi all.

When I try and install My Phone Explorer in Windows Vista Ultimate, the install gets to:
Registering: C:\Program Files\MyPhoneExplorer\DLL\ShellMgr.dll

Then a dialogue pops up that says:
MyPhoneExplorer_Setup_1.5.9.exe has stopped working.

I have installed the Visual Basic 6 Runtimes ...
