Unfortunately, I have made my message too fast. The solution via compatibility is unstable - after synchronisation the high def. screen (with the readability issue) is coming back...

I hope a more sustainable solution will be found.

Thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestion changing the compatibility settings for MyPhExpl : Windows 8 - this gives the screen that I had with my previous laptop - now I have to scroll but much better readable.

I'm a daily user of your excellent program. I worked perfect on my previous HP laptop (resolution 1600/900). I switched to a new HP Spectre laptop with a resolution of 2560/1440. For some programs the text was too small, so I had to change the text layout to 175 % instead of the default ...

I checked - indeed it is version 1.0.18 !

I re-installed the client on my smartphone (same version), and apparentley the problem has been solved ! I assume that the OS upgrade corrupted some way the client.
