Running under XP + all latest updates.

Android phone (LG G3) Lolipop + latest MPE.

Not a very satisfactory situation.

I have been using MPE for some time now and 1.8.6 has always been fine.

However, when I upgraded to 1.8.7 it suddenly couldnt connect to the phone (and LG G3 running the latest Android MPE client.

I use Bluetooth and MPE complained that the BT stack wasnt present.

If I go through the setup for my Samsung SII on a computer it works fine.

However if I disconnect and come back some time later it tries to use the same com port but is unable to connect. The only solution seems to be to re-associate the phone with the computer via bluetooth and get yet another com ...

When I start MPE on my Android (Samsung Galaxy S2) it stays "MPE starting" but the app never appears on the screen. Presumably it is starting as a "service"? If I tap the icon again the app appears and I can then choose to enable b/tooth.

Hmm .. at bit more info.

I suspect the problem occurs if I forget to switch on Bluetooth - it seems to have lost the config sometimes when I turn it on and reconnect.

It only seems to happen for the "portable" install case.

I'll try to narrow it down a bit more.
