Ah I got it to work now.

I was using BlueTooth for my connection. So I changed the connection type to USB cable and the PC tool complained that it couldn't find the phone.

Then I changed the connection back to BlueTooth and Bingo!! I can sync again.
It seems that the timeouts on my phone ...

I googled for the apk file but the only one I can see is the same version that already have. Should I remove the app from my phone and install again? if yes, will cause me to lose any data?

I'm having the same problem after updating to 1.8.8.
I'm using Win10 and Office 2016 Connecting to a Galaxy S4 running Android 5.0.1

An interesting (strange?) addition to this.

I changed the password on my PC (corporate policy) but the when syncing via MPE the password required is the old PC one. !!

I think what I did was to create a backup with the old phone (on the PC client its under Extras) and the connect the new phone and do a restore from the back just created. I think MPE will complain because the phones are different, but ignore that.

Its a long time since I did it and I can't be ...

I have the same problem with Outlook 2010 and MPE 1.8.7.
In my case the meeting is created in North America and shows up fine in Outlook in Australia, but after a re-sync MPE has the meeting on the wrong day.

I can't remember the exact steps, but you can make MPE sync a new phone from an old data set. It will complain but just ignore that and it works well for names and phone numbers. I found some odd things with the calendar, but overall, quite good.

I get this "no bluetooth stack" message occasionally on my Lenovo laptop. I found that it means that the laptop has turned the bluetooth off. I have no idea why that happens, but if I turn the BT on again, all is well.

Win10 is also asking for the password every time I sync and I usually do that multiple times per day. This is because I relay on my phone telling me about meetings I have.

I found the problem.

I don't know if it was MPE requsting the password or Win10, but the password it wanted was my Windows password!!!, even though the message said it was the phone's password.

I was using 1.8.7 in Win7 and had no problems connecting my S4 via bluetooth. Now I have upgraded to Win10 and each time I try to Sync, MPE asks me for the phone's password.
I don't know any password for the phone. I tried the defaults of 1234 and 0000, but no luck. I also tried the Wifi password ...

Thank you very much, this has fixed the problem. Initially I tried just re-booting the phone, but that didn't help. As, as per your suggestion, I rebooted my Wifi router and after that, suddenly it all works again.
