I used MPE to backup all my data and the messages was saved as messages(SIM) and my phone(C510) was sent for repair, which they updated the software. now when i tried restoring the backup, the phone did not do the messages, and said that my sim only have 27 slots..how do i restore it to my phone?? i tried copy pasting the original file into the memory card, but it did not work..

I don't think your servicepoint did erase also the SMS on your SIM-Card so it would make no sense to restore them.

The sms of the phone should be restored without problems (exept that the timestamp of sent messages is missing)

i've tried doing that, but it did not automatically restore, as the ver i use when i was making the backup is 1.7.4, and the version did not support SMS(phone) backup. when i upgrade to 1.7.6 then i notice there is the sms(phone) backup option, but it was too late.
