I just moved from China to Europe, meaning that I changed both my laptop and my phone 6 time zones. I'm using Outlook and a Samsung Android phone. Syncing between the two has always worked well, but after I moved all full day appointments are one day off, they show up as one day too early on the phone.

I tried clearing the entire phone calendar and pushing everything from outlook from scratch but still the same. The limited time appointments all work.

As far as I can see the time zone of the laptop and the phone should be the same. The laptop says:
(UTC+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna
The phone says:
GMT +02:00, Central European Summer Time
The latter is set automatically by the mobile network, the first I have set myself.

Any suggestions?

I have discovered that Outlook 2010 has a time zone stamp on the all day event, they are stamped with time zone "Beijing, Urumqi...". Outlook handles this and will still show the "US independence day" on 4th of July but MPE insists on transferring this to July 3rd on the phone.

My phone calendar has basically been rendered useless, I would really appreciate some help.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, the dates end up wrong in MPE on my laptop as well.

What I've researched on my end is that the all day appointments I made in Outlook while I had the PC set on China time have the time zone set to Beijing time. After I set my PC time to CET all the all day appointments have CET set as time zone. These are all greyed out and not possible for me tochange. What I've read on-line is that from Outlook 2010 Outlook does in fact not use this tag. Apparently it is registered anyway.

On Microsoft homepages they have some fix one can download to change all the time zones in Outlook. I never got it to work. Another fix I saw suggested was exporting all appointments to a csv and then import them again. That would, however, cause all recurring appointments to become indivitual and I did not want that. And that's about the point where I gave up and realized that for all all day appointments I need to rely on my outlook and not my phone. The major drawback is that on my phone all birthdays are shown one day too early so when it is one of my friends actual birthday it is easy to forget because I cannot see it on my phone.

I hope you can figure this one out!
