Runtime error

After MPE crash it sometimes throws a
Run-time error '440': Automation error
and then a
Run-time error '372': Failed to load control "PhoneBook" from . Your version [...]
I have admin access and no problems with installation. The only fix would seem to reboot the computer, then everything works fine until next time the program crash.
Is there a way I can fix this without having to reboot (I've made sure there's no MPE process running)?
Maybe some other process that needs to re-run?
There's no useful info in Debug.txt.
I've got the latest version and running W7.
Cheers

I have the same problem sometimes and also for me the only solution is to restart the PC. I have found no solution for it. Just for interest: On my PC the Clipboard does not work correctly after this problem - do you have the same issue ?

Yeah, that's correct. I can't use mouse clicks or hotkeys to copy/cut. It's simply greyed out when I try to paste.
If I try to drag a folder/file the icon simply freezes and stays on top of every window until I close the window I'm trying to copy from. Do you have that same issue as well?

I have to wait for the problem to try this
But it seems that MyPhoneExplorer generates somehow a system-problem. It will be very hard to get deeper into this issue...

I'll investigate as well and post back my findings. =)
I encourage everyone experiencing this issue to do the same as well, would be great to find a fix for this.

I also have the same issue, but found a 'quicker' solution. If you just log off your Windows profile and log on again, you can restart MyPhoneExplorer. Goes faster then rebooting the whole computer.
Working on Windows 7, but can't find a pattern in the errors..

I rebooted and tried again - no success!

Seems to be a install issue. Please run this small test app and tell me which error message you see:

Hi:
I get the Run-time 372 error weekly or so, followed by a 440 Automation error. I've run the little test program and it consistently throws a 440 Automation error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I'm definitely using the latest version of the software.
I've seen the same questions about the 372 error going back some years.
Aside from logging out and logging back in or rebooting, what can be done?
Has there been any progress on resolving this issue?
Fabulous software, this is an annoyance more than anything.
Thanks very much,
Eric

I tried several times and many hours to locate this bug but i had no luck. It seems it has to do with the COM-Automation stack and it happens after you started MyPhoneExplorer many times in the same windows session. You could try to keep MyPhoneExplorer running the whole time, maybe it helps
