Great Program.. loving it!!! Any idea as to when there will be an update (I read lots of stuff thats being worked on etc so I assume soon as its been 3 months)... cant wait... thanx in advance!

Contacts:
Will the Update allow copyig of entires between SIM and Phone. The built in phone feature to do this sux lots & its annoying to have to disconnect from MPE to update either list by copying entires etc. I have 2 different Number lists completely.. phone for numbers i use lots... SIM for ones I use but not frequently.

As you can see by these links people DO want this feature so I hope it does get implemented =)

If I right click a contact and choose delete... is there a way to undo this? so far the only way i can see how is to right click the same contact and select 'force as edited' but is that what this feature is for... or is there a correct way to remove the 'delete' tag from a number?

Call List:
open MPE.. call list is there from last session.. i can right click and choose delete. Problem is that list isnt up to date so... plug phone in, connect Sync Calls list.. now i cant delete them.... if i disconnect I still cant... I have to close/re-open MPE and NOT connect so i can delete them. Is this a bug or have i missed something?

Copy contacts between SIM and phone is now avaiable in the latest beta.

"force as edited" is the right way, no other undo-feature implemented or planned

Delete in call-lists: You can only delete grayed entrys. Simple reason: Numbers which are saved in phone cannot be deleted from software outside the phone. Grayed entrys in the call-lists are archived entrys and they can be deleted.

You'll find a link to the newest beta in the german supportsection in the pinned thread.

The ability to change message tones on the k700 series would be a nice touch. I noticed theres alarm and ring tone... but no message tone. Maybe even unlocking these options on the phone itself?

I set up my K800i to download email from GMAIL and it works great. One problem is that it is very painfull to delete the messages once you read them. It would be a great feature if I could do that from MPE. Otherwise brilliant software: amazing you can make something better then SonyEriccson itself!

Hehe - i don't know if it would be possible. If yes then i have to implement the SYNCML-Protocol which is very much work.

I have a problem with translating numbers between MPE and my phone.
The calls in the “call list” are not always correct when they are transferred to MPE.
If I use my phone to dial a certain number and then a pin code, I can do this with my phone by inserting a "p" (for pause) between the called number and the pin code. The problem is that when the number I have called show up in the "call list" after synchronization the p has turned into a C.

Example:
I call 11111p2222# on my mobile (K800i) but in the call list in MPE it will show up as 11111C2222#

Another problem is when I try to call this kind of number from MPE it doesn't allow me to dial either p or #.

Is it possible to fix this? -I am currently running MPE 1.5.0

Sorry - this cannot been fixed, the phone allows only numbers as dialstring (trought the software-interface)

I think the problem should be fairly easy to reproduce and collect the log files. I don’t know if the problem is seen on other mobiles but I suppose it is.

However, if the phone SW only allows numbers as dial string I do not think you need to fix this.

That plugin can do many things that other software cant...

Maybe it can give you some ideas for future development of your GREAT program.

Thats a good idea, but i don't want in my Software any access to the internal filesystem. A bug could destroy the phones software and thats to hot for me. MyPhoneExplorer is made for ease-to-use, the most users have not very much experience in computers - so it would be not very clever to add features like this.

started using the keyboard emulator a lot. What would be brilliant is a kind of macro functionality, where you can with one click send a whole string of keystrokes. You could use that to clean up old emails, use it as a shortcut to come in a specific sub-menu etc.

The keyboard-emulation is not very stable. This is the main problem. I tried to implement the keys to show the service-menu. Result -> it works or it works not. I'm not a friend from features which doesn't work good and stable.

How can I disable global hotkeys assigned in your program (ex.: when I press Ctrl-F5 in other program, MPE pops up the Create SMS window) ?

Why don't put a simple TRASH box for deleted items?

There is already a messagebox if you really want to delete those messages - i think that is enought. The sms-files is updated only after a refresh or if the program closes. So if you did not anything since deleting you have a chance if you backup the file SMS.dat from the database-folder.
