MPE crashed when trying to config sync options
Verfasst: Mo 22. Feb 2010, 21:42

MPE is very cool, except every time when I try to click on
File->options->Sync->google (or sunbird or other things)-->Advanced, the program crashed and exited.
I want to use MPE to sync SonyEricsson W580i to google calendar, or sunbird if it's possible.
Any one can tell me how to do it.

Hi:
Thank you for reply. I tried your suggestion, and it still crashes and exits as usual. Forget to mention, the version of MPE is 1.7.5, OS of my computer is windowsxp. There is actually a crash report issued by the system.
AppName: myphoneexplorer.exe AppVer: 1.7.0.5 ModName: msvbvm60.dll
ModVer: 6.0.98.2 Offset: 0005d2a4
I cannot copy the memory image, so sorry I cannot provide it here.
It looks something wrong with Windowsxp itself. sorry to bring it here in the first place.
Best,

- Run MyPhoneExplorer in debugmode (Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK)
- reproduce the crash
- post the logfile here (Start-Run-%appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\Debug.txt-OK)
Are there any other crashes in the program ?
the report

Hi
This is the report, there are some Chinese characters in the report, it's because of the OS. it means "bluetooth port instance ID" and "bluetooth modem".
I tried to roll msvbvm60.dll back to its older version, but it still doesn't work. I had turned off the Symantec auto protect and spybot, and no other antivirus is in the system.
Best,

16:09:18.40 Machine works as Double-Byte-Character-System!
There are many known issues when MPE is used on a Double Byte Character system. If you want to use MyPhoneExplorer without problems then you have to turn off the DBCS-Mode.

Sorry, I am not familiar with it, is it an option in MPE, or is it an option for bluetooth, or an option for OS?

I mean I am not familiar with DBCS-mode, is it a option I can choose, or do I have to switch to another computer with different OS?
Best,

Its a setting in the Operating system. If you set your Systemcharset to English or another non-chinese charset then the DBCS-Mode is disabled.
