How to convert SMSArchive.dat to XLS?

Hi,
I have been using MyPhoneExplorer for years with my W810i. Few days back my laptop crashed :(
On my new system I tried to copy a backup of my SMSArchive.dat and import the SMSes from the same, but I cant :(
More importantly, I wanted to share the SMS Archive with someone else. And was planning to convert to XLS format.
Is there a way to directly convert the SMSArchive.dat to XLS?
Regards
SKrishna

- backup your current SMSArchive.dat
- overwrite your current SMSArchive.dat with the old one
- start MyPhoneExplorer
- export the messages as xml or csv-File (select the messages->rightclick)

Thanks for your prompt reply.
One more issue here is that I upgraded my mobile to a Nokia one. Dont even have the older W810i handy. :(
And without a SE mobile, MyPhoneExplorer doesnt seem to be creating a new SMSArchive.dat, for me to follow the steps written above.
Can I still somehow convert/ retrieve my data ?
Many thanks.

Go to %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer
Create a new folder with this name: "Dummy [123456789012345]"
Copy the SMSArchive.dat into this folder
Start MyPhoneExplorer
Select the DummyUser in Menu-File-Users...
Export the messages
Thanks

Hi, I'd like to export some old SMS from an archive from old T68, but unfortunately when I do the same thing as you described, the SMSarchive file doesn't show any sms. Even though the file contains SMS messages.
In the debug.txt it shows:
14:58:22.85 Load SMS Data...
14:58:22.85 LoadDatafile: SMSArchive.dat(135277 Bytes)
14:58:22.85 SMS Archiv laden - Parse: 0
please help

Maybe the SMSArchive.dat was made with FMA and not with MyPhoneExplorer. If you want you can mail me the file zipped and i'll take a look at it.
