SMS character count bug

When adding special characters such as: á, í, ó, ú (does not happen with é), the character count is added by a number of 69 (causing, most of the times, to be broken into 2 messages). This has happened with every version of MPE as far as I remember

Its not a bug. The characters you wrote cannot be sent in the normal GSM-Charset so it switches to Unicode (UCS2) -Mode

I "normal" message can contain up to 160 characters. A unicode-message can contain max. 70 characters.

But it doesn't behave that way when I send it using my phone

Its exactly the same behavior with the phone and with MyPhoneExplorer. Here is a list of all GSM-Chars:

If there is a character which does not match this table then the message is sent as Unicode-Message with 70 Character-Limit
