Hey,

In the new version (1.7.5) on my computer, the SMS sender's number is not replaced by their name if the number is in the home cell field. The numbers there start with a +, that might be the problem.

Am I the only one?

Thanks
Have a good day

Earlier MPE did compare only the last 8 digits, this worked not always so i decided to compare the full number. The country-code should not matter in this case. Please send me both numbers (the one in contacts and the one from the message) via email. I'll take a look at it

I am seeing this also. In my case, the entry in Contacts has a plus "+" sign prefix but when the text arrives, it does not have the plus sign. Otherwise, all 11-digits are all the same.

Love the spell checker!

Thanks!

Same issue on my T700, except I can add some information.
Since I travel internationally, I swap the SIM on my unlocked phone all the time. I can still see names on messages from when I used my Polish SIM a week ago (using + ), but only numbers since switching to my US SIM (using 011). Hope this helps to resolve this.

For phone number 1-919-xxx-xxxx the first several digits are:

Contacts: +1919xxxxxxx
SMS: 1919xxxxxxx

Same issue, I'm a user in the States and I had the same question.

A suggestion - include an option to specify how the comparison is performed... a simple option would be to allow the user to specify how many trailing digits for comparison, thus eliminating issues related to country code and others.

Aside from that, fantastic project :) Cheers
