3-way sync ?

Hi all !
I've been using MPE for a long time now, it is great !
There is something that I have not found though : is there a way to multi-sync with Gmail AND thunderbird ? (contacts, not calendar)
That is some kind of a 3-way sync. What I do for the moment is sync with thunderbird, then go to options -> synchro, change target to Gmail, then sync again.
Is there some other way to do this ?
Should I post a feature request for that (like having multiple sync-profiles at the same time, and having one sync button per profile on the toolbar) ?
Thanks a lot !

It's not possible to sync two external sources. At the moment, there are already three databases to sync: phone, MyPhoneExplorer and an external one. It's hard enough to keep these three consistent. You can only change it manually as you do it now, but it's not recommended!

Thanks for your answer !
Why do you say it is not recommended ?
I switched back and forth between thunderbird and gmail 4 times, and I don't see any inconsistencies in my address as for now.
Just having multiple sync possibilities available on the toolbar would be great I think.

It was often discussed why i don't add a 3-way-sync.
Its not recommened, cause in special cases (and those cases are not rarely) you would get duplicates.
If you take a look at the confirmationswindow i think you can use it, but otherwise its riskfully to trust on a perfect sync.

Well, even with two-way sync I always use the confirmation window.
What I would like is not really 3-way sync, but more many 2-way sync profiles.
Like I said, if I could do it the way I do but without going back to the options window, it would be perfect.

I sync MPE with Thunderbird (using MPE) and Thunderbird with Gmail (using a Thunderbird extension called Zindus). It works perfectly fine if you just want to sync phone numbers and names.
Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for your feedback mathbau.
I used zindus for a longtime, but as you say it is only good as long as you sync only emails, names and phone numbers.
I like the way MPE syncs with both thunderbird and gmail, and postal address are kept very clean in all the address books.
