google calendar sync not picking up exceptions

I am running into a problem using MPE to sync to a google calendar to a w580i.

When I create a recurring event in a google calendar, and then delete specific instances of the event, MPE still shows the deleted instances.

ie, create a weekly reoccuring event. Say every friday, noon to 2.

Then delete just the Dec 25th instance of that event from the google calendar.

Sync with MPE and my w580i.

The deleted event shows on my phone (and in MPE) on dec 25th.

MPE has a way to add exceptions for recurring events, I guess it is just not picking them up correctly from google.

Great product otherwise. Get this working, and I can avoid having to buy an iphone for my wife for a little longer.

Thanks

The exception-handling in Google is very complicated. Cause of this i decided to ignore Exceptions in Appointments of Google.

Any chance you will reconsider? (I really really dont want to pay for an iphone and the extra service cost)

I think in the most cases its not important. By the way: You can also sync with Google directly with your SonyEricsson. Google has a SyncML-Access.

I don't have a data plan, so I am doing this over USB. So I don't think syncML is an option.

I quess I could rig up some kind of intermediary, so that google calendar syncs via syncML to my desktop, then connect MPE to that calendar, but I was hoping to avoid something that complicated.

Anyone else have a better idea?
