I was just a little curious...

Once you synch up your phone with MyPhoneExplorer, what happens if you delete a message or a contact from your phone? It's obviously going to still remain on MPE, but what happens the next time you synch??

I'd like to know if, once you synch the phone and computer up again, will the contacts/messages you deleted from your phone be deleted from your COMPUTER, or will they remain? Or, will the messages/contacts be put back onto your phone?

Just a little confused... My bet is that the contacts/messages stay on the computer, but I don't want them to get deleted from my computer when they resynch, nor do I want them back on my phone, I just want to keep them as records on my computer.

Edit - I just figured out that when you delete some messages and resynch, it will ask you if you want those messages to be put in the archive. VERY helpful! Was just wondering if it did the same with contacts as well? Also, is there any way that the arhive could get corrupted and I could lose all the messages?

They get deleted on computer if you delete them from phone. Thats the sense of a bidirectional sync.

The archive can only get corrupt if another application edits the datafile or if you have a hard-drive-problem. But you can create a backup using Menu-Extras-Create backup
