Hi.
I get 965 sent messages downloaded but there are about twice as many in the phone.
Is there a max number/max buffer size in the software?
Can it be a "bad" format sms in the phone that aborts download midway?

I'm sure its a bad message which aborts th transfer of the phone. This is a common problem in Symbian-Phones. You have to delete the corrupt message (which is mostly hard to find)

I wonder about it being hard to find. Wouldn't it be the last read or 1. missing? Your comment suggests they are read out of sequence. Please confirm? No rule of thumb at all for the culprit sms?

If you can load the messages up to a specific time - f.e. up to one month ago then its probably a messagein this time-range. You can also move them to userdefined subfolders, but MPE is not able to read out userdefined folders.
