I got the exact same error on version 1.5.8, when I tried again I didn't get the error anymore, but MyPhoneExplorer just closed. Now that is all it does. It seems to fail somewhere around 300 messages, but I got it to as far as 400 before the crash happens. Unfortunately there are near 1000 messages on my phone. Deactivating the log feature didn't seem to solve the problem.

To be exact:

1000 messages in phone memory
12 in sim

The sim messages seem to have been downloaded.

Trying the sync at different connection speeds seems to help a bit. Putting the connection at a much lower baud rate with the logging disabled and stable connection turned on allowed me to download around 500 messages from the phone memory. Some of these messages have strange characters in them and I still can't get to the other messages. Also, even at the highest settings the messages come in very slowly when the stable connection option is enabled.

The version of my phone software is:

CXC1250210
R1GB001
061129
(according to se's update service the third europe release)

I could try the software with a bluetooth or faster usb connection if you think it will help.

In this moment i don't know whats going wrong. Please try it with other connections (if possible)

Hi,

just tried it on a usb 2.0 connection, but there is no difference as far as I can see. The software doesn't seem to be able to find my phone through bluetooth.

Part of the error I get:

ModVer: 6.0.97.82 Offset: 0005b47f

There is also an option to view technical information, but I can't copy from there (and it's a lot anyway).

I don't think it have something to do with a USB-HUB. Could you mail me the complete logfile (with normal connection - not stable connection)

Hi,

mailed the log. If I happen to find time tomorrow I will try a different computer at my work to test whether it is the phone or computer that is causing the problem. I am assuming no additional software is needed that I might not have at my work?

Hi,

just tried the phone at my work, exactly the same problem. Strange characters, crashing, and getting around 500 transfered with the stable connection and then it just stops. I did notice however that just before crashing it tried to copy sms from the sim (it said so), perhaps switching back from sim to memory is causing the problem?

Hy, i checked the logfile but i couldn't find an issue. Can you send me please a logfile with one more try - this time with stable connection.

OK - this logfile gives me more useful input:
It seems that the phone throws the contents throught. There is no correct order between data and control-strings. I'm not 100% sure if it depends on the phone or in the connection-module of MyPhoneExplorer. Can you try it again with another software ? f.e. with PhoneControl or Floats

Hi,

as far as I can tell I can get all sms-es with phone control. The strange characters have also disappeared. I'd guess the problem somehow lies with your connection module. I do seem to be unable to get my contacts through this program.

I guess the strange characters in the messages are also caused by this problem.
