Contact pictures doesn´t show up in MPE if format png.

I can´t replacing/adding pictures through MPE - no files are available when trying to select....nor in phone neither at harddrive.


When connecting someones w380 to MPE I noticed that no contact-picture at all were shown...The phonebook section looked exactly as previous version of MPE....strange...

Yet more (c905 again), when sync after changing contacts with birthdate earlier than 1970 MPE and Thunderbird conflicts...MPE says it want to set the date to 1970-something...TB sticks to the correct date...nothing is changed as far as I can tell though.

If a png is selected in the phone then its not possible to read out. It does not depend on MPE, MPE is already able to handle also png-Pictures (cause this works on Symbian-Phones)

AFAIK the Imagewizard of MPE supports jpg, jpeg, png, bmp and gif. Where is the problem ? Do you see no files in the "Open-Dialog" ?

MPE detects automatical if the phone supports read/write for the contactpictures. If its not supported from the phone then you'll see it not in MPE.

This is a Thunderbird-Problem. Was already duscussed in this forum.
