No support for LG CU920

Greetings everyone,

Just got a new LG CU920 (AT&T) here in the U.S.

Using version 1.7.3 of MyPhoneExplorer I am able to find the phone using either Bluetooth or data cable.

However, when I try connecting by pressing F1 or selecting "Connect" from the MyPhoneExplorer main menu, the program crashes

Please note that I've tried both methods of connection with the phone in "Mass Storage" and also in "Data" modes.

Is anyone experiencing a similar problem? I am willing to assist by debugging the program in MS Visual Studio 2008 if anyone would like to work with me.

Thanks in advance.
John.

Sorry, MyPhoneExplorer works only for SonyEricsson-Phones. There are no plans to add other brands.

Thanks for the prompt response. I suspected as much. Are you aware of any utilities that may allow me to manage my contacts on this phone?

Thanks again.
John.

Why not other brands?

Why is not more than one brand supported? In my experience the real problem is when you change phone from one brand to another. For example when your no 1 is stolen. All the data stored in backups are no longer possible to use. And you have to start writing manual again. A backup program for more than one brand would fix this. A solution for only one brand is always supplied by the vendor, so there is really no need for it.

I did often explain my reasons in the forum.

Maybe you are interested in "Mobile Master"

MPE imports and exports to all sorts of formats including excel. That makes the one-off transfer easy. Once you have entered the data, you never have to do it again.
