Hello!
I have a problem.
I have reacently formated my PC and forgot to save a backup of my phonebook. That would not be a problem, but I have lost my phone and with it, my entire phonebook.
I have downloaded some disk recovery software and managed to restore a lot of the previously formated disk.
My question is, where or in what file does MyPhoneExplorer save its database (phonebook, smses...)
I hope some one can help.
Thanks.

Hi,
Phonebook data is stored in %APPDATA%/MyPhoneExplorer/YourPhoneName/Phonebook.dat
Which is eg under Vista C:\Users\Sebastian\AppData\Roaming\MyPhoneExplorer\Sony Ericsson C902 [353797029341298]\Phonebook.dat

I think you need O&O DiskRecovery (http://www.oo-software.com/home/de/prod ... krecovery/). The 30 day Trial Version is enough.

As far as i can see Phonebook.dat are only a lot of vCards in one file. So you select in DiskRecovery only the vcf Format under Filetypes. I think this should work.

Edit: I'm sorry. O&O DisKRecovery Trial Version can not save the found files. Additionally the vcf Format doesn't exist. But you can add is under "User defined signatures" alias "Benutzerdefinierte Signaturen".

Thanks Sebbl!

Did all that... found two files 20 MB each ?!?
Tryed to open them, they were empty.
Do you think that user defined signature was set unproperly?

Do you maybe know where are messages stored?

The messages are in the same location as Phonebook.dat - the file is named "SMS.dat" -> but i think you have no luck with the recoverytool for SMS cause they have a non-standarized format
