SPort.dll problems

Kindly bear my rant :)

I have a K550i and Win7 Beta 7000. I tried updating to v1.7.2 by uninstalling v1.7.1, but the uninstaller got stuck at unregistering SPort.dll, I had to manually kill the regsp.exe process after which the uninstallation completed.

Then while installing v1.7.2 it again got stuck at registering SPort.dll. After killing the regsp.exe process, the installation completed successfully, I tried to manually register SPort.dll (c:\windows\system32>regsvr32 SPort.dll) but it didn't register and returned to prompt with regsvr32 still running in task manager.

I think that because SPort.dll is not registered. I'm not able to transfer files to my phone via the files tab. Every time I try to transfer it goes upto 99% and gives an OBEX error.

As Win7 is not supported, any inputs will be appreciated

Are you able to connect with the phone ? Or to read out the sms-messages of the phone ?

I can guarantee that this is no Windows 7 gerneral issue, as I am using MPE on this plattform. I works perfectly fine as it did on Vista.
I use Windows 7 beta Build 7000 x64
