I've just bought another bluetooth dongle, (2.0) this time. What speeds are you guys getting with your ver 2.0 dongles? I'm only getting 45-50 kb/s.

45-50 KB/s is a good rating. More is not possible (it depends on the software of the phone).

Sorry forgot to mention, I've got a K800i, and I have been led to believe that the Bluetooth 2.0 speed can be as fast 3.mb/sec. Does this not apply to the serial connection?

Try to send a file with a few MB directly with your BT-Software - then you'll see that is no more possible. 3Mb/s is a rating that you'll never get in real.
