Hi there! First thank you for such a great program! You make my life a lot easier!!!
Though I have a problem restoring SMS from Archive back to my phone ( w960i).
The SMSs that have problem were recieved from a Nokia phone in lowercase greek. I can read them perfectly on my computer but I had to make a master reset and now I must have them back in my phone.
But when I try to copy these SMS back the characters are unrecongized and shown like this:
¥?¥?¥?¥?@ ¥?¥?¥?¥?¥?@!¥?¥?¥?¥?¥?¥?@ ¥?¥?@ ¥?¥?¥?¥?¥?@.@:@-@(

the PDU is
0181000C910396835721410000001010000000003C83DFE037F80D7E00D0E037F80D7E83DFE007080D7E83DFE037F80D7E831F0034F80D7E00D0E037F80D7E83DFE00770017480160005

and the text coding before is UCS-2 but after the tranfer is 7 bit-standard
I hope you have a solution! :)
thank you in advance for your time!!!

I think you are using a Symbian-Phone. This is a known issue of all UIQ3-Phones. MyPhoneExplorer uploads the message as it was read (the PDU-Code) but the phone parses the PDU always in 7-Bit Mode. I'm afraid you cannot restore those messages correct on a Symbian-Phone, but don't delete them. If you ever have a "normal" SonyEricsson-Phone then you can restore the message correctly.

Thank you for ansewring in such a short notice! Yes it is a Symbian-phone and I do have a normal SE phone. Can you tell me how I can save the messages in it? (there are more than 1000 sms..:D so if you could suggest a massive way it would be really cool!)

PS: the Sent messages wich are written with the W960i (in greek uppercase) are restored just the way they are without any problems..)

Connect your "normal" phone with MyPhoneExplorer, go to SMS-Archive and import the backupfile (rightclick->Import/Export). Then you can upload them to the phone

In the 7-Bit charset there are also some greek chars included. Cause of this you had no problems with some messages.
