PS : I have a phone sync issue with outlook, which doesn't take contact groups into account (no category in Outlook 2007 contact view)

MyPhoneExplorer is the best of a bad lot of software. HTC Sync is the most finicky program I have ever had to deal with. Works on one machine, not on the others! Leaves out information from the download. Yikes!

Your program is pretty good, but it's odd that I can filter on groups but I can't see which group a contact is in without editing it. Why not a read-only column? Or even better, an editable column? This seems elementary.

You can enable the group-column in the list. Just rightclick the list-header

I can not synchronise contact groups in MPE and phone.
Groups created (and contacts included) in MPE stay self-same, groups created (and contacts included) in phone stay self-same, without any synchronization. I have tried both 'Synchronise' and 'Download entire'.

Synchronisation of names and nubers works correct.

Phone: Motorola Defy+, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
PC: WXP SP3, MPE 1.8.2
USB cable

What do you mean "client"?
I synchronize only phone and MPE in PC, I do not use any client, I think.
I use MPE for backup and organizing contacts only.

With client i did mean the app "MyPhoneExplorer Client" which is installed in your phone
