Bluetooth stopped working after installing SE PC suite

I got a new laptop with integrated bluetooth. I have used MyPhoneExplorer without problems both with my old and with this new computer, but now I cannot connect the phone.

The problem started when I installed the SonyEricsson PC Suite in order to use my phone as a bluetooth modem. There were some drivers installed and after that my settings in MyPhoneExplorer look very different.

Here is what I get when I select the "search for device". There were only a couple of options before installing the SE suite.

I have succesfully connected the phone one or two times using the the port 15 or 16 (serial ports).

Now I cannot connect. Port 15 gets me a warning "Could not open COM15!" and when I try the port 16 a warning "Phone could not be identified." pops up.

There is no problem pairing the phone with my computer or using it as a BT modem. I have tried all the ports in the menu, but none of them works.

Do you got any ideas? Thank you very much!

First you have to pair your phone with the bluetooth software. then a new virtual port will be created. please take also a look at the FAQ.

Had a similar problem.
The problem in my case was that as soon as I enabled bluetooth PC-suite automatically takes control of it and connects to the phone and locking it out from MPE. Shutting down PC-suite completely works for me.
