Hey!!!!! I need your help. I have a sony ericsson w300i with its usb cable and my phone explorer and Pc Suite installed on my PC, but any PC recognized my cell phone and I really need it and I don´t know what else I can do

What does happen if you connect the W300i in "Phone-mode" ? Do you hear the typical USB-Sound ? Did you install the drivers for it ?

I don´t really know the differences between the modes to conect the phone to the computer. I only conect the usb cable to the turn on phone and the conected the usb cable to the computer. Any sound was never heared....

As soon you connect the phone to the cable you should see a new menu on the phone which lets you choose between "Filetransfer" and "Phonemode".
- clean the fastport of the phone (the contacts for the cable)
- try another cable
- try it on another PC

If nothing of this steps bring any change then i think the phone itself or the connector for the cable (fastport) is broken.

Thanks a lot. I think its the cable because the phone have less than one week of use and the other accesories (charger and handsfree) works perfectly which could mean that there is no problem with the contacts of the phone but probably with the cable. So letsm see if I understand it all: with my phone turn on when I conected the usb cable without previous conetion to the computer it should appear a new menu as explained before. I´m sorry of my ignorance, but I´m from Cuba and this is my first cell phone . Do you think that even when it is an almost new phone could have any fisical problems itself, whne everything else works perfectly????

Yes - thats it. Test it also with another PC, maybe it depends also on the USB-hub of the PC.
