Hi I have the latest version of MyPhoneExplorer
My laptop has Windows XP Home edition with latest updates.
My phone is K610i
I can backup my phone book (which is great), but everytime when i tried syncing SMS (in order to back them up) to MPE, MPE crashes..
Once it crashes, i have to uninstall and re-install , otherwise MPE would not work any longer
Do you know how to fix it

?

Hi
Just a try: Goto Start -- execute -- %appdata% -- ok --> folder "MyPhoneExplorer" --> folder of your profile. Copy the file "SMS.dat" on a other place (e.g. Desktop (as backup)) and delete the file in the profile folder. Then try it again.

thanks
If I delete SMS.dat, then MPE would run again. but that still doesnt solve the original problem
is there a way I can sync my SMS without crashing?

Your PC is working in DBCS-Mode (chinese language-charset). there are known and not fixable problems when MPE runs in this environment. I think this causes also your crash.
You can disable the DBCS-Mode if you set your system-charset to english (after this a PC-Restart is needed), but i don't know if this is a good solution for you (caus ethen you have limited displaying of Unicode-chars). Its a try
