I am trying to add a new phone to MPE with no success. I had a W810i and have replaced it with a W760a. I am trying to copy my phone book from my laptop to the W760a but MPE reports "No device found" and gives me these options:
• Take the battery out of your phone for 2 minutes
• Restart your computer
• If you use Bluetooth: Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the "Serial Port" service is activated in your Bluetooth software
• If you use a USB cable: If a new menu appears when you connect your phone, then select "Phone mode" and NOT "File transfer"!
• If you use USB-cable: make sure that you have installed the drivers for it.
I have tried them with no success.

What i want to do is copy the saved contact info from my laptop to the new W760a. I will use the W810i for overseas travel and update it before I travel. How do I do this?

Hi

If you are using a cable, install the drivers for the phone.
Then open MPE, goto File -- Settings -- Connection -- Search phone. If the phone was found, MPE create a new profile for the new phone.
Switch back to your old profile (File -- Profiles) and goto Extras -- Create backup.
Switch to the new profile and goto File -- Restore Backup.
